Isabel was born at Melbourne, Australia. She has a mother who is Swiss as is her father Australian. Her family has lived in the Swiss, in Melbourne Jabiru (a small mining community within the Northern Territory), Cairns Australia and in Jabiru, Switzerland. With their sister Nina they were in schools with children of all races and cultures. Isabel lives with her family in Byron Bay NSW Australia. Isabel was engaged in drama from her school days. She attended The Queensland University of Technology. She also attended the Victoria College of Arts as well as Perdekamp Method Perdekamp. The actress did not appear in the roles she was interested in until her agent discovered she was in 2002. She was on the screen on Home and Away for 1988. They weren't sure that she would be suitable to play the role, however they were awed by her performance and gave Tasha an opportunity to play the part. She played her first TV role for three years.
